[Mock serious:] Truly fiendish, I know.

[A little more serious:] I saw them dancing at the ball, you know. They looked so pretty.

... did they? Pretty, or pretty close?

[Sciel, you just planted a seed.]

[Not that she was close enough to gave a good eye on what they talked about, but dancing is always a good sign.]

It was a nice change from seeing them bicker over research!

Oh, he does. [And Lune, she thinks, might get off on it.] It's just not the kind of passion that's fun to watch.

It's funny, sometimes. When there aren't any real barbs.

[As much as she loves Gustave, it makes her laugh when he's getting a talking to by Lune. He often deserves it!]

Youuu [she teases, drumming her fingers on Maelle's shoulders] haven't been through the trials of dating, and known couples who just pick at each other endlessly! It is funny sometimes, though, you're right.

So you're saying the next time they bicker I should ask when the wedding is? Got it.

Now that would be funny. You should definitely do that!

Gustave will stumble over his words, but he'll still manage say Maelle in his serious tone. Like I'm in trouble.

[The way Maelle laughs indicates no fear of actually getting into trouble.]

[As if Gustave would ever be actually cross with her over that, even if it treads on a sore spot.]

It depends entirely on the execution. You are permitted to redirect her to me should she get... testy.

[Sciel is the strongest but Lune is the scariest. At least in Maelle's books.]

[Can she smoothly stack moon charges for 94 billion damage, absolutely, can she hold off getting Elemental Genesis'd in the face long enough to do that... unlikely.]

If you have to run at all, you'll have to run MUCH further than that!

I think I can make it off the balcony without breaking anything. Worst case scenario.
