[ Sometime after Lune's talk with Gustave, after it becomes clear it doesn't look like Sciel will be returning to the apartment with Maelle from Sophie's, Lune can't help but reach out. It's getting late, but she doesn't think Sciel is asleep yet. Not tonight at least. But just in case she is, she opts to type. ]

Hey.
Are you two okay?

[ Of course not, but. Yeah. ]

[Sciel isn't sleeping. She hears the buzz of her network device somewhere on the couch with her, and she gropes amidst one of Sophie's fuzzy pink blankets to find it. She squints at the bright light of the screen, at the little letters. She types back:]

I may swear soon. I can feel it. But yes. You?

That bad, huh?
I'm okay. I just wanted to check in with you.
That was a rough conversation, earlier.

[ For Sciel especially. ]

I knew it would be. I just didn’t expect he’d say something that cruel.

I know. That was... that wasn't alright.
He feels badly about it, but it wasn't okay to say in the first place.

[ Pause, then: ]

If you want me to play a prank on him while you're away, just say the word.

Oh Lune, I want to say yes so badly because being sad enough for you to offer at all is such a rare opportunity, but I don't think he needs another reason to be irritated with me right now. Thank you though, it's very kind.

I'll be back in the morning, hopefully. If he's still mad or has more mean things to say I'll just go stay in Verso's apartment for a bit.

What he really needs is a cuff upside the head. Maybe tap some sense back into it. [ If only the fix was that simple. ]
But, yeah. A raincheck on the prank, maybe. It'll keep.

[Sciel types for a minute and then deletes it.]
